A London based web designer, information architect and strategist
specialising in public sector and charity web projects
Having been around the block a few times now I have a broad palette of experience to draw on when working on your site.
In the past I have done everything from visual design and coding to managing large commercial and public-sector sites. This means I can give you the kind of end to end attention that an agency can - at about one third of the cost. And as you'll be dealing directly with me all time communication is a lot easier.
Here's the list of things that I gave done to help people get the websites they want:
Visual design - what your site will look like
HTML/CSS code - the nuts and bolts of the site
Information Architecture - what your site is meant to be doing and what goes where
CMS deployment and configuration - making the site flexible and future proof
Drupal Design and Development (Read more on Drupal)
User testing - Using real users to assess your site
Analytics - (I am UBC/WAA qualified)
Content creation - Editing, rearranging, animating your message
Email campaigning - Engagement beyond the site
Search Engine Optimisation - how do people find you?
Project Management - Organising the project

Not all my work is end-to-end design and architecture projects.
Recently I helped a previous client by helping them take a plain html site and moving it to a Content Management System (CMS)
They didn't have much money to spend so I took a standard Immediacy CMS template site and tweaked it to fit their brand - then redid their Information Architecture, formatted all the pages, uploaded the content and got them going in 6 working days. They now have a serviceable site they can actually update themselves... job done, no fuss.
For organisations that require a CMS that will grow with them I recommend and use Drupal CMS. It's a free (open-source) industrial strength system that can provide a vast amount of functionality.
I have been working with Drupal for five years now, so know what modules and functionality is needed by most people. To minimise risk to organisations I use the Acquia distribution which allows organisations to buy inexpensive ongoing support for their sites.
