Aura2: A piece of Design Fiction for Macmillan Cancer Support
I made this future artefact as part of an application for an internal secondment. It's a printed onboarding phamphlet for a physical pain relief device set 10 years in the future.

Design Fiction is a great way to bring out aspects 0f, and road test some implicaitons of, a service and - in this case - a whole Charities offer. Here I have invented a pain relief service which asks a large active question - is providing tech like this something that our Charity should do? Aside from that there are multiple small things that raise questions here; like the photos here are (supposedly) generated by an LLM service because I have given a third party permission to do that.
In terms of what I used to create the PDF it's very simple. I picked up some objects from around the house (a razor, a box, a phone charger, a makeup mirror). I mocked up a box label in Powerpoint and then made the PDF using a layout programme. All in all the production took a couple of hours but I had done some brainstorming before hand about what should be in it and why.
