This is a long essay, over 20k words, that I wrote for fun in 1999. I basically take the paradigms of Brian Massumi’s ‘War in the age of intelligent machines’ and use his theories of network to take a good look at Theatre. This is pretty bold in that theatre is not thought of as a technology as such, though it very much is. There is a lot of thought in here, not always well organised, but looking back on it I am pretty astounded that I even started something like this. It’s obvious now that this *should* have been a Thesis for the Masters that I should have been doing at the time instead of teaching web design….
